Allieu Vandi Koroma

Allieu Vandi Koroma is a Senior Court Monitor in charge of high profile cases in the national court. In the discharge of his duty, he looks at the general conduct of proceedings, basic procedural propriety, substantive legal issues and decisions amongst others. Before his employ with CARL-SL, he worked at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission as a Statement Coder; helping the Commission to create an impartial historical record of the civil conflict.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Political Science and has attended several international training programmes.

Mr. Joseph Andrew Kalie Sesay

Mr. Sesay works with CARL-SL as a Senior Trial Monitor. Prior to that, he works as a trial monitor at the United Nations backed Special Court for Sierra Leone and the National Courts. He is currently engaged in the analysis of legacy and residual issues as part of the Special Court’s winding-up strategy. Mr. Sesay holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations and History from the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone and he is currently an LLB candidate in the same University.

Mr Abdulai Senesie

Mr Senesie works with CARL-SL as Information, Education and Training officer. He is responsible for the maintenance of the office library; including cataloguing, distribution and record keeping, and coordinating outreach activities of the centre. Before this, he was the coordinator of the Human Rights Schools’ Education Project at the Fourah Bay College Human Rights Clinic. He thought English Language, History and Social Studies at Kankaylay Islamic Secondary Schools in Bo District and later Port Loko District. Mr. Senesie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science from the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.

Ms Hawa Kamara

Ms Kamara is a holder of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Sociology from the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. She works with CARL-SL as the Gender and Juvenile Officer. Prior to working at CARL, she worked for the West Africa Democracy Radio as a reporter from January 2005 to April, 2007. She then worked at the National Commission for Social Action (NAcSA) from May 2007 to January, 2008 as a Development Resource Facilitator under the Peace and Development Core, (PADCO) project.

Mr. Jeremy Ben Simbo

Mr. Simbo works with CARL-SL as Regional Co-ordinator for the South-Eastern region. He supervises all administrative functions of the Centre in the South-Eastern regions. Mr. Simbo holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Linguistics and Literature from the Njala University College. Prior to his appointment, he served in the capacity of Youth Development Officer at the Conciliation Resources, Eastern region and as Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration District Supervisor for International Rescue Committee in the Child Protection Unit.

Mr. Ambrose B Goba

Mr. Goba works with CARL-SL as Court Monitor in the Southern Province, Bo district. He is also engaged in monitoring trials in Kenema and Pujehun. Mr. Goba holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Politics, History and English from the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. Before now, he served as a teacher and Vice Principal……

Daniel Sogbandie

Mr. Sogbandie works with CARL-SL as Office Assistant in the South-East Head Office. He holds a senior Certificate in the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Exams. He is currently a candidate for a Degree in Business Studies at the Bo College of Professional Studies.
