The Sierra Leone Court Monitoring Programme will now be called the Centre for Accountability and Rule of Law (CARL-SL). This change is an outcome of a series of reform process undertaking by the organisation with an aim of transforming from a court monitoring focused to a broader perspective of justice related issues. The organisation has over the years, in addition to court monitoring, engaged in legislative reforms, child rights and gender issues, advocacy and outreach, training and researches, thus, the need to change its name to reflect its new mandate and capture its growing activities and areas of intervention.
